Château Les Bertrands

Blaye Cotes de Bordeaux, France

Located in Reignac de Blaye on the right bank of the Gironde (Aquitaine region), Château Les Bertrands offers a classic range of Bordeaux wines.  Three centuries ago during the Vauban period, François Dubois, planted his first vines on the hillsides in Reignac de Blaye. Nine generations later, the family is still present, working the land and making wine with the same enthusiasm and motivation.  Over the years, successive investment in the vineyard and in the cellar has enabled the Dubois family to producde wines with pure expressions of their traditional Bordeaux grapes.  Today, different plots on hillsides and slopes are ideally exposed to the sun from midday to sunset. Merlot and Cabernet for red, Sauvignon and Muscadelle for whites, plunge their roots in gravelly sandy and stony soil which deepens to a clayey-gravelly sub-soil.
